Mission Statement
Acurex Biosciences is a pharmaceutical company with a mission to halt major neurodegenerative diseases driven by impaired mitophagy, starting with Parkinson’s disease (PD). A large body of evidence now supports that impairment of mitophagy, the normal process by which cells dispose of dysfunctional mitochondria, plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of PD and other diseases.
