Dr. Jaya Ganesh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is the Interim Program Director of the Medical Residency training program. Her clinical and research interests are Inborn Errors of Metabolism including Lysosomal Storage Diseases and Mitochondrial diseases. She is the Director of the Mitochondrial Diseases program and Associate Director of the Lysosomal Diseases Program. She is the Principal Investigator of multiple interventional and natural history studies aimed at improving the understanding and management of rare diseases and advancing the development of novel therapies. She is actively involved in medical student education and in the training of medical residents, fellows, and genetic counselors.
