Bio
Miriam Valera Alberni is a scientific researcher specializing in mitochondrial biology, with a focus on mitochondrial dynamics, metabolism, and their implications in various diseases. Her work often explores how changes in mitochondrial structure can influence cellular processes and contribute to pathological conditions. Miriam earned her PhD from EPFL in Switzerland and is currently pursuing postdoctoral studies at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston (USA). Her career also includes research roles in Barcelona (Spain), Taipei (Taiwan), and Heidelberg (Germany). Beyond her research, Miriam is dedicated to scientific communication and public outreach.
